The FAME foundation for the support of international understanding registered oficially as a foundation according to German law on the 12th of December 1988. The name 'FAME' came from the starting letters of the founding member Franz Alois Meiners (9th April 1993). The FAME foundation became a charity (which means German donors can receive part of their tax back) on the 12th of February 1989. We support the following goals:

Mutual understanding
Development aid
Science and research
Youth projects

Since its founding FAME has supported many project according to the ideals of the founder.
